Dates: Each Thursday 9/14/17 through 11/15/17
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Cost: $130 per student per 10 week session
This class will allow students to gain knowledge of the steps taken to draw a successful pet or animal portrait drawing in pastel from beginning to end. They will learn how to render hair and fur and all other elements in the drawing of animals. By the end of 10 weeks they will walk away with a beautiful pet portrait suitable for framing! This class will be held with a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6 students.

Please note – I will supply the final drawing paper and pastels necessary to complete the project. The cost of the class includes the extra supply fees.
The following items are available at United Art and Education, Michaels, Hobby Lobby or online at Jerrys Artarama, Blick Studio, Amazon.com etc:
*11” x 14” Spiral Bound Drawing Sketch Pad, at least 50 pages
*Staedtler Mars White Plastic Eraser or any other type of white plastic eraser
*gray kneaded eraser
*4H, B, 4B drawing pencils or a nice set of drawing pencils that include the mentioned pencils, the more the better!
*pencil sharpener, preferably the type that collects and holds the shavings
*12” T-square ruler (if you do not have a t-square ruler I can supply one in class)
*ball point pen
*2 matching (exactly) 4″ x 6″ good quality color photos (for photo reference) of chosen pet or animal. Head and shoulders shot preferred but not required.
*If you have a good quality set of pastels and would like to bring them that is fine.
